1 in 4 people have a significant fear of needles

Updated: Aug 31, 2021

Also according to recent research by Oxford University, the younger you are, the more likely you are to have needle fears. Perhaps with life experience we are more able to regulate our anxiety? Added to needle fear is the fear of Covid vaccination generally.

Fear can be learnt from a parent or other significant adult in our life, and even aggravated by negative media exposure around Covid.

The good news is that the fear of needles is treatable. We are not born with this fear and it can be unlearnt.

I am a trusted clinical hypnotherapist and I will help you overcome your fear with tried, tested and well researched techniques.

You will learn to feel safe around needles and I will show you how to manage your needle anxiety. Just imagine how it will feel to say goodbye to panic attacks and any other uncomfortable symptoms. Imagine when you become aware that you no longer fear needles.

Depending on which approach we use it is possible to change your perception of fear to your chosen preferred response in one session. Everyone is different so it is possible you might take one or more sessions to take control of your fear.

We will talk through your fear, how fear comes about and how it feels in your body and mind.

I will show you how to develop new associations with needles, to change your perception, and to build new positive memories. You can replace old out of date fears with new experiences in which you will feel good about yourself.

We plan together gradual exposure to the fear starting with less feared scenarios and building your confidence as we go at your pace

You will have instant access to recordings of your sessions to strengthen your mindset and your relaxation response.
