We live in stressful times. Pressures from work and family, or worries about relationships and health, can make us feel anxious and tense a lot of the time. Some of us work it out in the gym, or by doing housework or other outlet, but many of us just try to push through it, or worse, do nothing about it at all.
Thankfully, there are other ways you can deal with the stresses and strains of everyday life. And hypno-reflexology is one of them.
What is hypno-reflexology?
Put simply, hypno-reflexology is a combination of hypnosis and reflexology.
With hypnosis, I introduce relaxation techniques. I can take you to a safe place in your imagination. Sometimes I incorporate mindfulness. Also I might include positive affirmations to empower you with confidence, motivation and positive thinking.
In reflexology, each part of the body is believed to have a corresponding reflex point on the feet. Pressure is applied to the feet to release any blockages in the body and relieve uncomfortable symptoms. Reflexology can relax every part of your body and mind.
As far back as 460 BC, Hippocrates the Father of Medicine said that “Whatever happens in the mind influences the body and vice versa.” That’s just what hypno-reflexology is designed to do. Mind and body don’t work in isolation.
Hypno-reflexology encourages all your body systems to work together harmoniously for maximum well being.
How does a hypno-reflexology treatment work?
During a hypno-reflexology session I apply pressure to the reflex points on the feet, whilst using calm, soothing words.
There is nothing for you to do. Just enjoy the experience and the sense of calm and relaxation.
